More Christmas Stuff

Life has been busy hectic lately. There's been baking, shopping, activities, parties, sending Christmas cards, wrapping presents, and much more going on. It's been a constant thing. Thankfully, I have nothing planned for today other than clean and organize my house and stay home! I plan on doing nothing today because I've got a couple more busy days ahead of me. We will be spending Christmas Eve with my family and Christmas Day with hubby's family. I am bringing 2 desserts to each family's house. I'm making Pumpkin Goat Cheese Cheesecake and Double Chocolate Cookies for Christmas Day but I don't know yet what I'm making for Christmas Eve. I've really got to get that figured out. So that's what's coming up.

This past Saturday evening was our Sunday School's Christmas party. I spent most of the day Friday baking for it and spent all day Saturday at Kelly's house (the host of the party) with a few friends cooking and putting everything together for the party. To say the least, I was ready to sit down and eat when 5:00 rolled around. I brought my camera with me but didn't take any pictures. :( I wish I would have taken a picture of all of the food. My goodness, there was a ton of food and it was all so good! The only 2 pictures I took were of the 2 things I made early on Friday in preparation of the party. I made Coffee Chocolate Chip Cookies and Reindeer Bites.

I also made Orange Cranberry Cookies on Friday to give to friends on Saturday and my Secret Sister on Sunday.  This was a new recipe for me and is now my new favorite!  I've been around so much chocolate lately that I'm kind of chocolated out - I know, crazy, right??  So these cookies were a great change for me.  Plus, they are so good.  The tartness of the cranberries blends beautifully with the sweetness of the orange.  I will for sure be making this cookie again!

All in all, it's been a great weekend.  Busy?  Definitely yes but it was good.  I love spending time with friends and family.  I have been blessed with a wonderful church family who have become great friends.  I hope you had a blessed, fun-filled weekend with family and friends as well!

Hope your SS doesn't read your blog - then it won't be a secret ;p

It was great seeing you again and if time allows it would be extra neat to see you again before I leave!
