Christmas Baking

In my opinion, there is nothing better than Christmas baking. Getting together with family and making yummy, festive treats is one of the best things on earth. Baking Christmas cookies has been a tradition in my family for as long as I can remember. Cut-out Cookies and Peanut Butter Balls are made faithfully every year. This year we've made Chocolate-Dipped Pretzel Sticks, Illian Bars, Cake Bites, Banana Chocolate Cake with Banana frosting, and Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter frosting as well. There will be much more baking going on until Christmas but here are pictures of what we've done so far. We haven't decorated the cut-out cookies yet so I don't have a picture of those but I will as soon as we get a chance to decorate them!

Crazy Cake with Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting - pretty good! The cake recipe is from depression times (has no eggs in it) and the frosting recipe was one that came highly recommended. If you love PB, you'll love this!

Banana Chocolate Cake with Banana Frosting - this is a new recipe I made for Mom's birthday. The cake was really good but I wasn't a big fan of the frosting.

Cake Bites - I helped Mom make these for their Sunday School Christmas Party. Very easy to make and turned out cute!

Chocolate Covered Pretzel Sticks - if you love the salty/sweet combination, you'll like these! So easy to make and so festive!

And now, my favorites...Peanut Butter Balls - my Grandma Smith started this tradition. She has made these every Christmas for as long as I can remember. We moved from Indiana to Oklahoma about 16 years ago so we've had to continue the tradition and make them ourselves. They are time consuming but are SO worth it!

Want a recipe? Just let me know! I'll be more than happy to share!

Happy Christmas Baking!
