Vanessa's Wedding

A week ago my Mom, JJ, and I were in Center, TX for Vanessa's wedding. We left early Friday morning and arrived 8 hours later. It was a long trip to take with a toddler who didn't want to stay in his car seat. We stopped several times to let him get out and run around.

But we made it, and we made it on time! We got to the church at 4:30 so I could practice with Vanessa and her brother and sister. Vanessa sang a song (it was so romantical!) and Candace and Cliff sang a duet. Then the rehearsal was at 6:30.

The wedding was Saturday at 2:00. We got there early so Candace and Cliff could practice one more time and then I started playing the prelude about 15 minutes before the wedding started. JJ played in the nursery but was so good during the wedding. Mom stood in the back and held him through the entire wedding. He never made a sound. I was so proud of him!

It was a very quick ceremony but it was sweet and intimate. Vanessa was a beautiful bride and was just glowing!

Her colors were the colors of fall. So beautiful and appropriate for this time of year!

We left after the wedding and headed for Dallas. We spent the night in Frisco then went to IKEA the next day. It was nice to be only a few hours away from home. It was a long weekend but it was a great weekend. I got to see my friend get married and I got to play the piano for a wedding for the first time!

Weddings are always a memorable event, and for JJ to be so well behaved during a wedding...WOW! Just take it as a sign of good parenting skills!!!
