Feeling Crafty

I've been in a crafty mood lately so this weekend I decided to give some old flip-flops a new life.  I saw another blogger (I can't remember who) make these adorable rosettes and I knew immediately that I wanted to make some.  And they're so stinkin' cute!  What an easy way to give some zing to your wardrobe!

Turn this old, ugly shoe...

Into this.  So much better!

These are my favorite so far.

I also made these rosettes but haven't bought flip-flops yet to go with them.  I love them, too!

I'm sure I have many more rosettes ahead of me that I will be making.  I can't wait to see what cute materials I can find!

I Love The Colors Of Spring!

I love spring!  And I would love it even more if it didn't come with the crazy Oklahoma tornado weather.  ha!  With spring comes the beautiful flowers that grown in my parents yard.  I love their yard and would one day like to have one like it - if I can ever get myself to enjoy gardening....ha!  They have beautiful gardens everywhere!  I decided to start taking pictures of their yard so they can keep track of all of the beautiful flowers that have grown (and it gives me a good opportunity to practice my photography!).  Here are a few that I took the other day.  I edited some of them to add an interesting twist and love how they turned out.  Enjoy!

Stuffed Strawberries

I just tasted one of the best things ever - Stuffed Strawberries.  I was at my parents house yesterday and we were going to make these but never got the chance.  I had some leftover cream cheese at my house (lucky me!) and decided this afternoon to make the Stuffed Strawberries.  I am so glad I did!  They taste amazing and are extremely easy to make.

First, you need strawberries.  Lots and lots of strawberries.  Trust me.  You'll want to make hundreds of these.

Cut off the stems and cut a hole into the center of the strawberry.  Cut a small piece off of the bottom of the strawberry so that it will stand up.

Then mix together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla.  Fill strawberries with the cream cheese mixture.  Don't be afraid to fill to overflowing.  The more, the better!

Melt chocolate chips or chocolate bark and drizzle over the tops of the strawberries.  Mmmm...

The finished product - perfection!

This is a great easy summer dessert.  And so yummy, too!

Family Pictures

Before Andrew, my brother, left for Iraq we decided to get family photos done.  We hadn't done them in years and decided it should be done again before he leaves.  Kelly Shipley, a good friend and someone I go to church with, took the pictures for us.  She did an amazing job!  We were thrilled with how they turned out.  Here are some of them.  Enjoy!
